A large number of people are trying their luck with the online marketing bandwagon as the days go by.  One of the primary for this upsurge in numbers is AdSense, Google’s incentive pay per click (PPC) program that allows website owners from all over the world to publish contextually relevant advertisements on their web pages, and money every time a user clicks on a displayed advertisement.

Nowadays, people who previously swore against using the internet have started to publish content websites that garner ads which are organically relevant to the subject of their web pages.  For this reason, visitors are more likely to click on these ads, and the webmasters can start earning from such.

Bear in mind though, not every operator can be successful with PPC programs like Google AdSense.

Many operators fail to satisfy the three critical elements of Google AdSense success.  What are these elements?

1.    Cost per click (CPC).  For the reason that AdSense is a PPC setup, your profit would naturally be based on how much is the cost of every click.  The ability to choose keywords that garner high costs from AdSense would surely enable you to earn more from this endeavor.  You can acquire 100 clicks per day, for example, but if every ad only pays $0.01 per click, you’d only earn $1 as your trophy for the day.  But, if an ad pays, for example $0.15 per click, we’ll have an easy $15 per day, which is magnificent for a single website.  Hence, just think, if an ad pays $1 or $2 per click.  You would’ve hit the jackpot, right?  Determining CPC is not that easy.  The best way is to create an account over at google.com/adwords.  Analyze the bids for any keyword that comes to mind.  Such will give you an idea how much a click of their ads would pay.

2.    Traffic.  Traffic is the lifeblood of any online business, AdSense-enrolled websites not excluded.  You have to generate traffic - a gargantuan volume of visitors if possible - to get some clicks - lots and lots of clicks.  You can avail of internet marketing techniques for such purposes, naturally.

3.    Click through rate (CTR).  The CTR refers to the percentage of people who really click on the ads displayed on your web pages.  You want to aim for a high CTR to earn via AdSense.  A high CTR can be gained by inviting the proper ads per web page - which in turn can be accomplished with dedicated content and correct keyword usage - and the profitable placement of the ads on the layout of each web page.
