Don’t panic though we’ve all done it in some way shape or form. Even the best of the best have admitted begrudgingly of course that they bought product X, tried to sell product Y, or signed up for membership “this” or traffic system “that”.
The reason that they are now regarded as “gurus” is simply that they have probably made more mistakes than the rest of us.
My uncle Bill used to say that “they weren’t mistakes they were just more ‘experiences”. Things that didn’t work today would help us to remember our experiences the next time round.
So, put away your scattergun and build a plan. What type of site do you want, what do you want it to achieve, how much available time have you got and of course do you have any spare bucks in the bank for any hidden changes, variations, costs etc.
Make sure it is a plan that you can commit to and that the people around you know that it is a priority and that it will (hopefully) benefit them down the track.
Remove the obstacles from your success instead of making them excuses.
In the real world all excuses are “created equal”. monavie . They are still excuses at the end of the day.
Get yourself some think time, talk to others about you ideas, get input from people who have done what you are about to do and create a disciple and timeline around the project.
Then, its head down and tail up until you get it to a point where you are happy with it.
No scattergun approach for you. It’s planning all the way.
Follow these few simple steps and you will be well placed for success.
Are these things a secret? No, the secret is in the application of these simple processes, not in the processes themselves.
Moving forward creates a momentum that most cases is difficult to stop. The secret is to start moving forward.
Even if it’s hanging on to somebody else’s coat tails to get there.
Even if you make a few mistakes along the way (or have a bunch of “experiences”), you will be much better placed than the person who simply does nothing.
Stick by your guns (not your scattergun of course), travel the full distance and reap the rewards of your efforts.
The old saying goes that “if at first you don’t succeed then try, try and try again”.
Wise words, simple but wise.
If you continue to move forward and continue to step outside of your comfort zone you will undoubtedly get results. They may be smaller than you wanted, or bigger than you expected, but they will be results With results come more and better results.
So take the scattergun out and put it in the trash, because you won’t have a use for it any more.
